
New Institutions of Civil Procedure: Appeared before the Supreme Court in November
On Monday, October 5, 2020, a teleconference was held on the progress of the Project regarding the Review of the Institutions of Civil Procedure. This project is the seventh funded by the European Commission, within the framework of Court Reform.
The teleconference was attended by Mikhail Lobov, Daniel Schmidt, Elena Yurkina and Rafaella Hadjikyriakou on behalf of the European Commission sponsoring the project, Sebastien Renaud and Adamantia Manta, and on behalf of the Council of Europe, which has taken over the management.
From Cyprus participated: The President and Members of the Supreme Court: Mr. Stelios Nathaniel, Chairman, Ms. Persephone Panagi, Chairman of the Institutions Committee Ms. Irini Christodoulou Chief Registrar and the Director of Reform and Training Mr. George Erotokritou. Also Representative of the Cyprus Judges Association, the Minister of Justice and Public Order, Ms. Emily Giolitis, the General Director of the Ministry of Finance, Mr. George Pantelis, Ms. Aliki Sergi and the representative of the Pancyprian Bar Association, Ms. Koulias Vakis.
The agenda of the teleconference included, among other things, information and exchange of views before the completion of the Translation of the Institutions so that they can be presented to the Supreme Court within November 2020. (pio.gov.cy)
